As a Fixed Income Portfolio Analyst, you will join a team focused on fixed income portfolio construction and analysis. You will actively monitor portfolio risk metrics by producing reports and analyzing model scenarios, generate orders to express investment conviction, perform pre-trade portfolio analysis, and partner closely with investment professionals and traders to monitor real-time fixed income market activity.
Primary Responsibilities
· Perform market and portfolio analysis to support fixed income strategies.
· Perform fundamental credit analysis and sector/security valuation.
· Perform monitoring of fixed income performances
· Support trading of fixed income instruments.
· Assist in the development and improvement of portfolio management tools, processes and reporting.
· Analyze financial statements and develop investment thesis when required.
· Develop presentation materials and proposals.
· Maintain advanced knowledge of fixed income markets.
· Provide assistance to fixed income portfolio manager and fixed income credit analyst as needed.
· Communicate with manager, analyst, research providers, broker dealers and vendors for portfolio management.
· Participate in business meetings to share recommendations and ideas for investment.
Desired Skills/Experience
· 5+ years in experience in investment/finance.
· Ability to look for links between macro and market
· Ability to clearly communicate and articulate ideas both written and orally.
· Strong analytical skills and critical thinking capabilities are essential.
· Knowledge/experience of Fixed Income derivatives (MBS, ABS, and etc.) preferred
· Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially spreadsheet design and maintenance.
· Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or related fields.
· Reliable and timely, with solid problem-solving skills.
· Team player who is committed, dedicated, and confident.
