Job Summary Friendly neighborhood Pet Grooming Spa is looking to add an experienced groomer to our outstanding team!

MUST love dogs and be excited to make new pals, both furry and human. We are all about DOGS and teamwork! We offer a steady supply of customers, competitive compensation by commission plus tips. We welcome diversity and encourage a kind working environment. As a Pet Groomer, you will clip dogs according to breed-specific standards and owner preferences. If you are reliable, compassionate, and have a love for pets, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

Brush and detangle or remove matted fur

Must be comfortable handling & grooming all breeds of dogs

Execute a variety of clipping techniques and style requests

Examine for parasites or other skin conditions

Trim nails

Ensure the safety of dogs at all times

Adhere to strict sanitary and cleaning procedures

Communicate effectively and compassionately with pet owners

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of hands-on grooming experience

Comfortable working with anxious animals

Ability to stand for long periods and lift large dogs over 60 pounds

Strong attention to detail

Proficient at scissoring skills

Willingness to learn new techniques and participate in continuing education

Able to communicate effectively with coworkers and dog owners

Must have reliable transportation

Be enthusiastic and willing to learn
