Our client a professional Civil engineering firm based in NJ with expertise in Utility Infrastructure, Environmental, Municipal, regulatory, and professional planning expertise is expanding extensively and is looking to bring in professionals in the Civil engineering space to add capabilities.

The client is seeking an experienced Professional Land Surveyor to join their team to continue to advance their client’s goals while utilizing critical and advanced skill sets. The candidate will be joining an energetic team with a proven track record and culture specifically designed to further advance the professional development of our employees. The candidate must be problem-solving orientated with a knowledgeable background in the Engineering / Land Surveying / Construction industry.

Responsibilities:

• Quality control of all survey deliverables, including drawings, subdivisions, metes and bounds descriptions, and construction layout services.
• Responsible for administering surveying activities which includes oversight of staff, technical resources as well as organize and schedule time allocations.
• Ensure client satisfaction are consistently being met/exceed and seeks additional opportunities to strengthen client relationships.
• Provide mentoring and training to all staff levels to increase surveying and procedural knowledge.
• Maintain the highest level of commitment and attention to detail in all activities.
• Coordinate schedule with field crews, clients, and project manager (if applicable).

Requirements:

• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the Land Surveying / Engineering / Construction industry.
• Possess active Professional Land Surveyor License in State of New Jersey. Additional state licensure (PA, NY, etc.) is a plus!
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Land Surveying, and/or Engineering Technologies preferred.
• 8+ years surveying experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, etc.), Adobe/Bluebeam
• Excellent organizational, communication and listening skills.
• Ability to thoroughly plan and deliver on project requirements through the utilization of a team while managing within budget constraints.
• Team-orientated leadership skills.
• Capable of working with one of the following:

• Deltek Vision;
• ESRI ArcGIS, ArcMap, ArcCatalog, ArcOnline, ArcTools;
• Trimble Business Center, GPS Pathfinder, Realworks, Sketchup;
• 3DR Site Scan, FARO Scene, Leica Cyclone or equivalent
