    Our client a professional Civil engineering firm based in NJ with expertise in Utility Infrastructure, Environmental, Municipal, regulatory, and professional planning expertise is expanding extensively and is looking to bring in professionals in the Civil engineering space to add capabilities.

     

    Our client is seeking a technical specialist who under direction, is able to successfully perform the various survey-related tasks (drafting, modeling, field surveying, LiDAR scanning, etc.) required for the preparation of drawings, maps, descriptions, etc. The candidate will be joining an energetic team with a proven track record and culture specifically designed to further advance the professional development of our employees. The candidate must be problem-solving orientated with a knowledgeable background in the Engineering / Land Surveying / Construction industry. Must have the ability to organize assigned work and develop effective work methods.

    Responsibilities:

    • Preparation of highly accurate, precise, and complete survey deliverables, including drawings, subdivisions, metes and bounds descriptions, and construction layout services.
    • Research property records (deeds, maps, titles, mortgages, leases, etc.) and plot within AutoCAD Civil 3D for boundary analysis.
    • Maintain and track various assignments, while keep data files organized and neat.
    • Construction layout calculations, as-built surveys, and/or preparation of grade sheets and sketches.
    • Preparation and set-up of survey data for field crews.
    • Prepares legal descriptions with the assistance of the professional in charge.
    • Perform various survey traverse adjustments.
    • Maintain the highest level of commitment and attention to detail in all activities.

     

    Requirements:

    • Possess a valid driver’s license.
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in the Land Surveying / Engineering / Construction industry.
    • 3+ years surveying experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, etc.), Adobe/Bluebeam
    • Strong mathematical skills.
    • Excellent organizational, communication, and listening skills.
    • Ability to thoroughly project deliverables/deadlines and function within budget constraints.
    • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as a team member.
    • Associates degree in Engineering, Land Surveying, and/or Engineering Technologies preferred.
    • Capable of working with one of the following:
      • Deltek Vision;
      • ESRI ArcGIS, ArcMap, ArcCatalog, ArcOnline, ArcTools;
      • Trimble Business Center, GPS Pathfinder, Realworks, Sketchup;
    • 3DR Site Scan, FARO Scene, Leica Cyclone or equivalent
    • One of the following is preferred:
    • NSPS Certified Survey Technician (Level 1 or higher).
    • OSHA 10-hours or higher.
