    Currently PM Telco, a Robbins-Gioia subsidiary, is looking to hire a temporary full-time Project Manager to support our Avaya customer through the end of September. This role will be critical in supporting our customer’s overarching mission to provide the world's best communications solutions that enable businesses to excel.

    A DAY IN THE LIFE:

    To help make our customer successful, the chosen candidate can expect to be involved with or responsible for Project Management tasks.

    Establishes and manages project plan, including the development schedule, delivery schedule, and resource requirements.

    Reports on project progress at established intervals to the customer and company management.

    Establishes project structure and resourcing plans, and manages the resourcing process, which may include selection of personnel from partners and customers.

    Leads and motivates a project team; sets goals, objectives and priorities; assigns and reviews work.

    Acts as primary interface with the customer on issues regarding the project deliverables. Ensures customer reviews are held, including the customer user community.

    Ensures that all deliverables defined in the statement of work are delivered on-time, within budget and at an acceptable level of quality.

    Obtains customer acceptance on key milestones throughout the project life cycle including project closure.

    Acts as primary interface to subcontractors supplying either product or service.

    Ensures that approved methods, processes and tools are consistently followed using Avaya’s documented Global Project Management Methodology specifically in relation to change control and risk management

    Accountable for meeting project schedule and results as well as for the customer satisfaction and the quality of the deliverable.

    Manage the development and implementation of program control strategies and plans such as the following:

    • Action Register
    • Change Control Plan
    • Communications Plan
    • Detailed Project Plan
    • Lessons Learned/Carried Forward
    • Risk Analysis and Contingency Plans
    • Revenue Closure Plan

    HOW YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

    This role plays an important and vital part in mission success. The ideal candidate will be in a position to help determine the project scope, define and execute data collection methodologies and plans, and conduct analysis of studies and surveys.

    • Initiate, execute, and manage projects by creating work breakdown structures (WBS), critical path assessment, resource plans, risks definitions, and productivity analysis
    • Present status briefings
    • Provide management, facilitation, and coordination of tasks and project team members, along with budget and cost management to meet project timelines
    • Implementation of VOIP telecommunication systems
    • Direct daily project execution activities related to design, development, vesting, training development, systems delivery, assist in the development and performance of test plans, production support, and status and financial reports
    • Show proven ability to work both independently and as a team member; setting and meeting deadlines and establishing rapport with individuals at all organizational levels and with diverse backgrounds

     

    Required Skills

    A Consultant is an exempt customer-facing business professional that provides a variety of information directly to customers for their ongoing programs, new initiatives, strategic planning, and measurement/evaluation in one or more of RG's solutions.  They possess excellent customer service skills, remain current on industry trends, value team work, and have a wide range of interpersonal skills.

    Required Experience

    To be successful in this role, all candidates must meet the below qualifications to be considered.

    • PREVIOUS AVAYA PROJECT/PROGRAM MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE WITH CURRENT VERSIONS OF AURA 6, 7, AND 8
    • DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE IN MANAGING LARGE, COMPLEX PROJECTS, INCLUDING FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
    • DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE IN LEADING CROSS-FUNCTIONAL TEAMS OF TECHNICAL PROFESSIONALS IN AN UNSTRUCTURED MATRIX ENVIRONMENT WITH MULTIPLE STAKEHOLDERS
    • LEADING A TEAM THAT ASSUMES RESPONSIBILITY FOR STRATEGY AND DEVELOPMENT, INCLUDING SYSTEMS AND APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT, VENDOR MANAGEMENT AND LEGACY SYSTEMS INTEGRATION
    • KNOWLEDGE OF ESTABLISHED, INDUSTRY STANDARD PROJECT MANAGEMENT METHODOLOGIES (PMI, ITIL) WITH THE ABILITY TO APPLY THE PROJECT MANAGEMENT BODY OF KNOWLEDGE (PMBOK) AS THE FOUNDATION FOR PROFESSIONAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE, PROCESS, DISCIPLINES, TOOLS AND DELIVERABLES IN SUPPORT OF IMPLEMENTING STRATEGIC CUSTOMER PROGRAMS/PROJECTS
    • PROVEN LEADERSHIP ABILITIES, INCLUDING ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE WITH DIRECTOR LEVEL LEADERSHIP
    • ABILITY TO ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN STRONG PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIPS WITH CUSTOMERS, BUSINESS PARTNERS AND AVAYA ASSOCIATES
    • STRONG WRITTEN AND VERBAL BUSINESS COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS, INCLUDING LARGE-GROUP PRESENTATIONS
    • ADVANCED-LEVEL SKILLS IN MS PROJECT AND MS EXCEL
    • UNDERSTANDING OF GENERAL ACCOUNTING PRINCIPLES AND MANAGEMENT OF PROJECT FINANCIALS
    • ABILITY TO SUCCESSFULLY MANAGE MULTIPLE CUSTOMERS WHILE EFFECTIVELY PRIORITIZING MULTIPLE COMMITMENTS
