    Job Summary

    The Service Trainer is the responsible for creating service training materials and teaching the materials to HC Forklift America (HCFA) employees and our dealer network service technicians. This position works with HCFA service experts and service management for source material but must be able to create training presentations and materials self-sufficiently. This is a new position and much of the material must be created from scratch. Some travel (25-40%) will be required as needed to provide regional training for our dealer network.

    General Accountabilities

    Create service training presentations for multiple systems on each forklift type

    Create training curriculums based on student competencies

    Present the materials to the class in clear and concise manner

    Classroom teaching and hands-on teaching capabilities

    Develop online training materials

    Teach online webinar type classes as needed

    Coordinate guidance and support from the service experts on material creation

    Clear understanding of diagnostic and troubleshooting practices

    Travel as needed to provide offsite service training to our dealer partners

    *Duties assigned in addition as is required.

    Job Qualifications

    Associates Degree, technical degree in related field, or related experience.

    5+ years of related technical field experience specific to forklifts

    3+ years training dealers and employees in forklift mechanics, or 5+ years in mobile industrial equipment

    Strong technical knowledge of electric, LPG and diesel forklift service

    Strong experience with electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and powertrain

    Experience with motive power batteries and chargers. Lithium-ion experience a plus.

    Current Forklift certification and able to maintain.

    We will consider remote for this position, but it is preferred that the candidate work at our office in Charlotte, NC full time.
