CNA/HSW/LPN/RNs needed for Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital
HCA Solutions is currently seeking qualified candidates for the Certified Nursing Assistant, Health Services Worker, Licensed Practical Nurse and Registered Nurse for the Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital ** - LTC facility, Huntingdon, WV. **Duties may vary based on area of assignment.
CNA (s)
*Will be responsible for direct care services to residents in a Nursing Home Setting.
*Must provide both physical and psychological support and assistance with daily activities, maintain a therapeutic interaction with the residents and provide all services in a manner consistent with the applicable standard of care.
HSW(s)
Perform initial assessments to assist medical staff in determining need for immediate hospitalizations or ongoing counseling and treatment of psychiatric patients.
Practice motivational interviewing techniques to assist individuals in identifying personal hurdles in order to set goals and work towards rehabilitation.
LPN/RN(s)
*Must assist/communicate professional nursing and medical staff in providing direct nursing care to patients, including medical treatments, administering medications, giving injections, assisting in care planning and recording, and such other services within the scope of the LPN(s) license.
*Must assist in response to medical and psychiatric emergencies.
*LPN(s) assigned to an acute care setting must have successfully completed a course in Intravenous therapy and training in venipuncture which permits the LPN(s) to start Intravenous fluids.
*Must provide all services in a manner consistent with the applicable standard of care.
*Must oversee the work of inexperienced (RN) Registered Nurse(s), LPN Licensed Practical Nurse(s), and CNA Certified Nursing Assistant(s).
*Must ensure timely documentation into patient’s Electronic Medical Records, per the policies and procedures and common practice of the particular facility utilizing the staff to be discussed during the hospital/facility orientation.
*Must oversee and handle all medical related emergencies.
Requirements
*Must be licensed by the West Virginia State Board of Examiners for Licenses and have no record of prior or pending disciplinary action against him or her by the licensure body or agency. West Virginia is a member of the National Council of State Board of Nursing and participates in the multistate Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
*Must have a minimum of one (1) year experience and working knowledge of the concepts of mental health, health disorders and related physical conditions and related treatment approach.
*Must pass a recent West Virginia Clearance for Access: Registry and Employment Screening (WV CARES) check, to include any manual lookup procedures recommended by WV CARES.
*Must pass a pre-employment alcohol and drug test.
*Meets current Agency immunization requirements for purified protein derivative (PPD), yearly influenza record, and Hepatitis B Series. Also, must have Measle, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) and Varicella blood drawn titers.
*Possess a current American Heart Association (AHA) Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
*Has received or obtain a successful annual physical.
