Job Description

The IT Support Intern will assist staff in software, hardware, systems and technology tasks and requests. The IT Support Intern position is a paid internship ($12 per hour) that will ideally work now through spring semester with the possibility of summer 2024 and the following school year. This is an office-based position in Manhattan, Kansas. All IT Support Interns applicants should live in the Manhattan, Kansas area for the duration of the internship and be a student pursuing an undergraduate degree in IT or Management Information Systems, or a closely related field.

What you'll do:

• Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to software, hardware, networking, and computer information systems.
• Configure Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android devices.
• Perform routine audits of software systems and inventoried items.
• Coordinate and deliver technology support via phone, e-mail, and business messaging platforms.
• Create, update, and resolve support tickets in accordance with service level agreements.
• Through feedback and analysis, create and update process documentation.
• Maintain and improve existing vendor relationships through effective communication.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Experience with customer service and support.
• Ability to work with and set up computer equipment, software, networking equipment and hardware tools.
• Detail-orientated with an aptitude for problem-solving.
• Valid Class C driver’s license.
• Be able to lift 35 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current student pursuing an undergraduate degree.
• Demonstrated ability to organize and categorize multiple types of data & communicate complex material clearly.
• Familiarity with data analysis and business intelligence tools.
