    Job Description

    PAYROLL / HRIS SPECIALIST

    *** Mandatory 2+ years of ADP WorkForce Now Payroll Administration ***

    Reporting to the Executive Director of Human Resources, the Payroll and HRIS Specialist’s primary responsibilities are as follows:

    ·         Execute semi-monthly payroll; enter and maintain accurate employee data in ADP Workforce Now.

    ·         Process payroll in a timely and accurate manner providing detailed explanations for payroll fluctuations.

    ·         Serve as the primary point person for HRIS database entry and ongoing maintenance (new hires/changes/updates/terminations).

    ·         Reconcile payroll accounts and related reports on a semi-monthly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.

    ·         Analyze payroll data and use the ADP tools to streamline workflow and drive continuous improvement of processes.

    ·         Generate reports and develop ad-hoc reports.

    ·         Perform regular payroll audits to ensure the accuracy of all payroll data.

    ·         Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll related matters.

    ·         Responsible for employee new hire onboarding and termination processes.

    ·         Serve as a primary back up to the HR team; helping to process invoice payments and entering data into to various benefits portals for enrollments, changes, and terminations, COBRA or Health Insurance premium invoicing, benefits administration.

    Requirements include:

    Mandatory 2+ years’ experience in ADP Workforce Now is required

    ·         Completed BA/BS degree.

    ·         2+ Payroll / Human Resources work experience in a support function capacity including extensive direct payroll experience in a corporate environment.

    ·         Experience and familiarity of HRIS systems Experience with ADP Payroll/HR or other HRIS Systems.

    ·         Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

    ·         Extensive understanding of regulations and applicable laws regarding payroll and benefits.

    ·         Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.

    ·         Salary commensurate based on skillsets and years of experience.

     

    The successful incumbent will have exemplary customer service skills, including the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize work load with changing deadlines. S/he will also be a motivated self-starter that can move effortlessly from working independently to actively participating as a collaborative member of a high-achieving team. Must demonstrate the ability to use discretion and maintain confidential employee and organizational information.

    This role is based in our offices at 20 Avenue at the Common, Shrewsbury, NJ. However, our staff members are currently working from home (remotely) until a post-pandemic return to our offices occurs. Our technology and facilities teams provide and support a seamless remote work environment for all employees.

    This is a full-time position. Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
