Job Description
Serves as the liaison between the hospital and the health plans on matters pertaining to patient assignment, eligibility, and waiver initiatives that impact primary care and primary care capitation;
• Participate with management in developing and implementing objectives, strategies, and plans around patient access, including but not limited to Facilities capacity both present and future;
• Provide oversight of Natividad ambulatory clinics including ongoing assessment and optimization of organizational structure by assessing staffing needs, technology, and systems related to patient access and services for primary care;
• Conducts demographic and actuarial studies to develop strategic plans for facilities and financial system responses to changes in Federal and State funding of primary care operations;
• Manages the paneling department to evaluate and refine patient empaneling methodology through collaboration with physician leadership, medical and administrative staff, analytical and IS support staff;
• Maintains working relationships with medical, nursing, professional staff, health plans, labor organizations, regulatory agencies, and community-based organizations;
• Provides oversight and approval authority as well as coordinates activities with the Director of Quality Affairs and licensing to monitor compliance to all HRSA grants, renewals, expansion grants, and UDS reporting
• Lead and administer the planning and development of a community-wide dental care network that delivers high-quality and cost-effective care;
• Develop and manage operations and budgets of the Hospital System affecting the ambulatory, community health, and professional services;
• Provide administrative support, guidance, and direction to the ambulatory service managers or supervisors and other subordinate personnel
• Develop and recommend policies and procedures to meet the needs of the Hospital system
• Evaluate all department managers or supervisors under direct jurisdiction
• Serves on various committees of the health and hospital system;
• May assume Disaster Service Worker duties, as required; and assumes other related responsibilities as assigned
