Required skills and minimum years of experience. 2 years critical care/ICU experience
Specific licensures and certifications/registrations are required. ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and ND or compact state RN license.
Shift or schedule requirements. 12-hour day/night rotate with every other weekend and rotating holidays.
Floating to over units/departments. Float to all critical care units and IMC (intermediate stepdown) with ratio of 1:4. Scheduled between all 3 campuses.
Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. 2E - 19 bed Unit, 3E - 25 bed unit
The nurse-to-patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only) Primarily a 2:1 ratio, occasionally 1:1 and 3:1 based on the complexity and acuity of the patient. When floating to IMC 4:1 (less acute patients then traditional ICU)
The candidate will get a total of 32 hours of orientation. That includes 8 hours of hospital orientation, 8 hours of orientation to 5CD and 4 hours of orientation to our Intermediate ICU, and then 12 hours of orientation to our Broadway ICU. All of this will take place over the 1st week of the assignment.
