  • Responsibilities

    This employee reports to the General Superintendent and oversees all aspects of Grading and preparation for Paving Driveways, Parking lots, and Roads.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Record daily progress in a foreman log
    • Set Grade, Figure out quantities
    • Maintain project schedule and milestones.
    • Ability to manage a team of 2-5 people and train new employees.
    • Identify potential problems in advance.
    • Work closely with project owners, inspectors and quality control personnel.
    • Electronically communicate with home office and project owners.
    • Take and Follow directions

    Required Skills

    • Must be able to read and interpret plans for various projects.
    • Must have basic computer skills.
    • Willing to travel.
    • Operate Blade ,Loader, Skid steer, and Roller

    The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

    Leadership skills, construction and management ability, clear and analytical thinking, creative problem solving abilities, strong communication skills, and strong organizational abilities. Candidates will need to be self-motivated and also work well in a team environment.

    Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.     Candidates must be able to travel within our Operational areas and adapt easily to different work environments. Education/Experience Possess a minimum of five years of progressive experience in Excavation & Grading in Heavy

    • Excellent communications skills, orally, verbally, and in writing with all levels within the company, employees, customers and vendors
    • Knowledge required on efficient construction operations
    • Ability to read and interpret plans
    • Strong ability and skill to follow-up, attention to detail and organization.
    • CDL not required but would be a Bonus

    Physical Environment Lift up to 25 lbs. regularly and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. The position requires an ability to walk, sit, stand, kneel, crawl, and squat repetitively. Position requires familiarity and everyday usage of a computer/laptop and familiarity with programs in a Microsoft environment. Regular, steady and reliable attendance is essential to this position
