    Overview:

    Carrollwood Optical is seeking an experienced and licensed Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive eye care services to patients in a caring and professional manner. The Optometrist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating various eye conditions, providing prescription eyeglasses and contact lenses, and carrying out regular eye examinations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to diagnose and treat various eye conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and cataracts
    • Utilize advanced diagnostic technologies such as OCT, fundus photography, visual fields, and corneal topography
    • Provide prescription eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other corrective measures to patients
    • Fit and dispense contact lenses and provide instructions on proper use and care
    • Review patient medical history and current medications to identify any potential vision-related issues
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible patient care
    • Provide patient education on proper eye care, nutrition, and lifestyle habits that may affect vision health
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
    • Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethics in all interactions with patients and staff

    Qualifications:

    • Optometry degree from an accredited institution
    • Active and valid state Optometry license in Florida
    • Strong knowledge of ocular disease, diagnosis, and treatment
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to work with people of all backgrounds in a friendly and professional manner
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
    • Knowledge of the latest technological advancements in the field of optometry

    Working Conditions:

    The Optometrist will work part-time hours, usually during regular business hours. It is essential to have the scheduling flexibility to accommodate patient appointments, including evenings and weekends. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience and will include medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid vacation time.
