    Responsibilities will include: The review and generation of labor policies with the assistance of HHM’s People Support team and outside counsel, implementation of all such policies and ensuring compliance throughout the portfolio, including periodic audits and managing employment litigation matters. Responsibilities: • Ensure HHM Hotels' compliance with all labor and employment laws, regulations, and standards at the federal, state, and local levels. • Provide legal guidance internally on a wide range of employment matters, including but not limited to discrimination, collective bargaining and unionization, harassment, wage and hour matters, payroll records, employee relations, retaliation claims, and terminations. • Manage labor and employment-related litigation to protect the company's interests and minimize legal risks. • Use outside counsel and other external resources as appropriate to ensure the company is represented in a cost-efficient and effective manner. • Collaborate with Risk Management in management of outside counsel - handling individual claimant employment litigation evaluating the need for employment practices liability insurance (EPLI), or in instances of non-insured individual claimant claims. • Participate in the development of training programs to counsel associates and managers on labor and employment law compliance, ethics, and best practices. • Stay current on changes in labor and employment laws and regulations, and communicate and work to implement change based on the implications to the organization. There will also be additional opportunities to assist the legal team with general legal functions, such as commercial contracting and other operational matters impacting our hotels. Qualifications: • Juris Doctor degree and authorization to the practice of law in Pennsylvania. • A minimum of 3 years of substantial and relevant legal experience, with a focus on employment law. A blend of law firm and in-house experience is a plus. • Excellent communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the capability to convey legal principles to diverse audiences and stakeholders. Demonstrated professionalism, diplomacy, and sensitivity in interactions with internal clients and colleagues and external agencies and counsel. • Proven experience in developing policies and procedures for ensuring corporate compliance is preferred.
