    Opportunity: People Support (HR) Generalist HHM Hotels is a leading hotel management and investment company with a portfolio of over 235 hotels and resorts spanning North America. The organization takes pride in operating over 50 independent luxury and lifestyle hotels as well as premium branded hotels in urban and resort markets. This role is based in our Philadelphia Corporate Office but will be focused on our U.S. employment workforce from coast to coast. HHM Hotels is seeking an HR compliance-focused People Support leader responsible for creating and administering HR initiatives across the organization. Further, this individual will serve as the lead on new hotel integrations into the portfolio and perform analytical work for our hotel operators. Reporting directly to the Vice President of People Support, this individual will partner with sub-disciplines within the People Support department to ensure employment laws are adhered to, hotel operators have applicable metrics and figures, and that new joiners are welcomed to the organization compliantly and efficiently. The individual will be an integral member of HHM Hotels' Philadelphia-based corporate People Support (HR) team. Responsibilities: Your Focuses: HR Compliance: • Working with internal and external counsel, create and administer human resources policies and procedures to stay in compliance with federal, state, and local laws. • Partner with People Support sub-departments on projects and/or initiatives to ensure compliance across the HR suite of services (including, but not limited to onboarding documentation, FLSA and wage and hour rules, DOL regulations, NLRB rules, and OSHA procedures). • Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that HR and compliance procedures are followed. • Advise hotel managers on the implementation or operation of compliance programs for both HHM Hotels employees as well as third-party personnel vendors. • Analyze training needs and design compliance and associate education. • Research new and existing laws as well as attend webinars on legal updates on behalf of the PS team. Hotel Transitions: • Lead the execution of HR-related items for transitions for the portfolio, including new properties joining HHM Hotels, active property transitions and launches, and de-transitions whereby employment with HHM Hotels is ending at hotels. • Serve as the lead contact to operators and peers in shared services to ensure timely and detailed information is received and provided to applicable stakeholders. • Communicate to sub-department team members in People Support on items including benefit offerings, open positions (management and service staff), onboarding completion, etc. Additional HR Responsibilities: • Compile and track HR data within the department for various stakeholders including metrics like turnover, FTE count changes, EEO-1 reporting, and more. • Keep informed regarding pending platform changes, trends, and best practices and assess the impact of these changes on HHM Hotels’ processes. • Perform other duties as requested by management related to HR operations. Qualifications: Your Background and Skills: • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field is required. • 7+ years of previous Human Resources experience is strongly preferred. • Experience with hospitality or service-related workforce is highly preferred. • SHRM or HRCI certification(s) preferred. • Strong knowledge of all applicable US federal, state, and local employment, health, and safety regulations. • Will require some travel for various hotel transition training and/or initiatives. Likely once per quarter. • Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 15 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
