POSITION SUMMARY:
The Project Manager will support research within the Health, Homelessness, and Criminal Justice Lab (HHCJ) that is co-directed by Drs. Kate Vickery and Tyler Winkelman. This role will involve overseeing regulatory, fiscal, and administrative activities to facilitate the design and implementation of multiple clinical trials and community engaged research projects within HHCJ Lab. The Project Manager will supervise study staff, routinely work directly with research participants, and coordinate daily activities associated with administering sponsored research projects (e.g., Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions, monitoring project budgets, and training staff in study protocols). The Project Manager may also assist with the submission of new grant proposals and writing manuscripts and public facing reports
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Coordinate daily activities associated with administering sponsored research projects.
Supervise research staff
Participate in direct patient contact through conducting patient recruitment, assessment, interviews, and other study procedures
Support research within the Health, Homelessness, and Criminal Justice Lab by creating and implementing systems designed to facilitate and monitor administrative activities satisfying guidelines established by both the institution and various funding agencies.
Assist with the submission of new grant proposals and abstracts.
Assist with submission of new grant proposals by completing funding agency form pages, including grant coversheet, face pages, biographical sketches, budgets, justification, and other support, resources, and checklists.
Oversee IRB submissions
Present project findings

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge and skills is qualifying. Typical qualifications would be a bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience or a master's degree with 3 years experience in clinical or health services research, public health, or other related fields. The following experience is preferred:
-Knowledge of health and racial disparities impacting people experiencing homelessness and criminal justice involvement
-Experience supervising staff or research teams
-Experience conducting community-engaged research
-Experience coordinating research studies
-Experience with a variety of research methods, including qualitative data collection and analysis
SKILL, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITY (SKA):
Requires interaction with a diverse population, including patients who are incarcerated or are experiencing homelessness. Must demonstrate working knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, and word processing applications, and demonstrate effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work independently within guidelines, be organized, and establish priorities. Displays high standards of attendance and punctuality, maintains confidentiality, and manages time effectively.
