Summary: The Healthcare Payroll Specialist is the company’s key team member to ensure that employee payroll processing is performed accurately and in a timely manner that meets federal and state regulations. This position impacts a rapidly growing organization and the dynamic field of healthcare services. The Healthcare Payroll Specialist will oversee payroll processes and collaborate with a team of skilled professionals to maximize efficiency and productivity in day to day operations. Duties and Responsibilities:
Process weekly payroll for healthcare field staff
Integrate Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) with payroll processing
Maintain employee database regarding salary and pay
Reviews employee payroll deductions
Address queries regarding payroll from field staff
Set up payroll arrangements for new hires and terminate ex-employee files
Maintain payroll system for accuracy
Audit timesheets and EVV accurately to ensure wages are properly distributed
Communicate with team and field staff any changes or updates to payroll processes
Remain in compliance with all federal, state, and company’s requirements at all times
Demonstrates respect for HIPAA and employee privacy
Ability to run hours reports per month for benefits eligibility tracking
Reviews weekly payroll allocation reporting
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist
Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices
Knowledgeable of regulations of the healthcare industry
Proficient in MS Office and payroll software
Excellent organizational skills and great attention to detail
Efficient verbal and written communication skills
Aptitude for numbers and commitment to accuracy
Ability to work well with urgency and meet deadlines
Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
