HACER is looking for an innovative, organized, and bilingual full-time (40 hours a week) Communications and Outreach Coordinator to join our team. This person will be responsible for the organization’s outreach efforts through various platforms, programs, and means. In this position, the coordinator would work both independently on projects, and in collaboration with our Executive Director and the rest of HACER’s team to inform the Latino community of the various projects HACER is implementing.

Responsibilities

· Provide communication services to HACER clients that will inform them of HACER’s work

· Presence in different forums and community activities across the Twin Cities Metro Area to conduct presentations, hand out flyers, do tabling activities, and foster new and maintain existing connections with the Latino community, including other organizations

· Support programs, workshops, and events by managing different aspects of those projects

· Create messaging to promote HACER activities and events in collaboration with other teams

· Offer insight into best outreach strategies to use for different activities and different groups based on the needs of the current projects

Qualifications

· Proficient in Spanish and English; preferably experience working with Latino communities

· Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related field

· Ability to work independently, and cooperatively in a team setting

· Great written and verbal communication skills

· Strong initiative and comfortable with engaging new people in conversation and establishing new relationships

· Strong project management skills and ability to track activities and progress on different events and projectsSalary ranges from $49,000 to $55,000. Compensation includes health insurance reimbursement up to $250/month, 10 paid holidays, 12 days of paid time off (PTO), and up to five (5) unpaid days off per year.
