    Job Description

    THIS IS A FULL TIME B-CREW LEADERSHIP POSITION. (MONDAY - FRIDAY 6P-6A)

    Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the B-crew Operations Supervisor is responsible for the coordination and supervision of all inbound and outbound shipments and tracking. The Operation Supervisor communicates shift activity and important information to all employees as well as management in staff meetings. The Operations supervisor is also responsible for managing material handlers, operators and conduct team building, morale, and process training. Additionally, the shift supervisor is accountable for safety and good housekeeping within HJI and client guidelines.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    (SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING)

    • Responsible for maintaining and adhering to the day to day shipments in and out of the facility.
    • Supervise warehousing operations in accordance with company and safety policies and procedures.
    • Responsible for training, coaching, conducting production reviews (time study), and administering disciplinary action when needed.
    • Responsible for incoming and outgoing shipments and product to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments. This includes preparation and required data input for all daily inbound/outbound loads. The Supervisor will coordinate with the Inventory team for all incoming material. Additionally the Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that loads are shipped in the correct order and orientation.
    • Responsible for contacting dedicated route drivers when driver schedules aren’t being kept according to dedicated schedule.
    • Conduct pre-shift meetings. Communicate company and customer expectations to all employees.
    • Ensure safe operation of all warehouse equipment and enforce all company and safety rules and practices.
    • Ensure a safe and healthy workplace and address compliance issues.
    • Complete necessary shift paperwork.
    • Ensure compliance to all standard operating procedures and job safety analysis.
    • Under the guidance of the Management Team, review and develop an understanding of the ISO 9001 certification processes. With the direction of management, ensures the requirements are met and supported by quality assurance procedures, work instructions and quality records.
    • Communicate important and pertinent information to all Shift Operation Supervisors and Managers.
    • Use 5S Auditing process
    • Make payroll adjustments and approve time cards for employees.
    • Conduct Daily Audits on employees and location of product to ensure accuracy and accountability.
    • Other Duties and Responsibilities as assigned.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    Associate degree preferred, or 2 or more years of experience in logistics and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Previous MHE experience preferred; but not required.
    • Previous Warehouse picking, packing, receiving, inventory control experience preferred; but not required.
    • Previous RF scanner experience preferred; but not required.
    • Previous material handling/fork truck experience preferred; but not required
    • Able to work in fast paced environment

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    • Lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted occasionally and lift up to 25 lbs. frequently.
    • Standing and walking on feet for up to 10 hours (including OT).
    • Constant bending, twisting, stooping, and reaching below and above shoulders.
    • Push / Pull products up to 50 lbs.
    • Spend Majority of Time in non-climate controlled Warehouse.
