    PRIMARY DUTIES:


    As a Retail Business Consultant, you will build strong relationships with independent pharmacy owners and stakeholders to coach them to create positive changes in their businesses.

    Our client's goal is to improve the profitability and long-term health of their stores by examining opportunities in labor, inventory management, marketing, pricing, staff development and more.

    After an opportunity is identified the Retail Business Consultant utilizes multiple benchmarks and resources to create a case for change with individual stores.

    The Retail Business Consultant provides ongoing support and motivation to drive each store’s success.

    As a Retail Business Consultant, a typical day might include:

    • Continually drives program value by building relationships, identifying opportunities, persuading customers to address opportunities, and ultimately holding customers accountable for changes.
    • Addresses existing problems within basic pharmacy functional areas to identify potential areas of weakness within the operation.
    • Acts as an instructor and subject matter expert to provide advice, guidance and feedback on store operations and
    business strategy.
    • Develops and maintains a strong base of working knowledge of the retail market, including industry trends, competitive intelligence, and external industry challenges
    • Creates tailored action plans based on each store’s individual opportunities and supports their implementation


    QUALIFICATIONS:


    • Working knowledge of the retail pharmacy industry including trends and challenges facing customers
    • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and adapt communication style to various audiences
    • Ability to actively listen and influence others with different points of view
    • Advanced knowledge and understanding of value, profit, and budgeting
    • Advanced knowledge of techniques to improve profitability of a small business
    • Requires broad training in fields such as pharmacy management experience, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year Bachelor’s Degree Program;
    • Normally requires a minimum of five (5) years industry experience and/or directly related and progressively responsible
    experience.
    • Experience analyzing financial and income statements highly preferred.
    • Retail pharmacy business experience, highly preferred
    • This is a remote based position that will require 70%-75% travel throughout the assigned territory, this does include 2 overnights per week on average
