Our client's Service Contract Sales Representative is responsible for the sales of Service maintenance contracts, Service specific Upgrades and a la carte Support offerings (such as trainings or parts). The successful candidate will primarily sell remotely by using the telephone; but also using email, Internet, and other technology, such as a CRM platform, within a defined territory. The Service Contract Sales Representative maintains superior customer relations, develops opportunities for growth within an existing customer base, and assures market penetration and profitability while achieving sales and profit forecasts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain effective customer relations with purchasing and end user within assigned territory.
Execute service maintenance sales strategies and plans to expand business within assigned territory; Maintain a pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed sales objectives.
Perform sales calls with all customers and potential customers in the assigned territory primarily by phone or face-to-face customer meetings.
Research competitor and industry activity and keep informed of new services and other general information of interest to customers incorporating this data in the business plan; Introduces new products and services.
Maintain accurate reporting, records, and files necessary for proper management of territory.
Communicate with supervisor any customer issues or potential problems; perform other tasks assigned by manager that are aligned with supporting and growing the Service business.
Inform customers of supply and price trends and assist in inventory control.
Positively represent our client at all times throughout customer locations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Work with Account Managers to ensure correct quoting and delivery of Service Contracts, define follow up plans and customer communications.
Partner with Marketing to define and adapt marketing materials that support the Services business
Collaborate with Finance team to ensure all contracts are invoiced and paid on time, ensure revenue is recognized in a timely fashion
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills.
Proven record of establishing goals and achieving results.
Proficiency in SFDC for quoting and lead generation.
Computer proficiency in MS Office and the internet.
Strong Excel skills to ensure in depth understanding of how to analyze and manipulate data to drive reporting.
Must possess a strong desire to serve the customer.
