    Our client is a venture-backed life science company developing a next generation single-cell analysis platform. Their award winning nanovial technology enables customers to accelerate therapeutic development to address the most difficult diseases and provide advanced scientific insights. Their reagent-based platform unlocks the ability to screen hundreds of thousands to millions of individual cells based on critical, yet difficult to probe, functional information all while using standard, easy to access lab equipment.

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    They are seeking a dynamic scientist with exceptional communication skills to help propel the use and adoption of their nanovial technology into the multi-omics research community. The successful candidate will serve as an intermediary between external customers and internal colleagues and will utilize their scientific expertise to support, advise, and help translate assay development efforts into workable solutions for end users.

    This successful candidate will be tasked with meeting potential or existing customers or collaborators, remotely or in person, to demonstrate, train and provide general support on the use of our single-cell technology in relevant applications. This individual will also support customer feedback loops and provide suggestions for improved assay development protocols to internal team members.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    •  Meet with potential or existing customers either in person at their facilities or over webconference to train, demonstrate, and troubleshoot the use of our nanovial tech for their specific research needs.
    • Onboard new customers with Nanovial protocols and blend into their existing workflows including the running of various FACS instrumentation, ELISpot, ELISA, Single-cell sequencers, liquid handlers etc. (some data analysis may be required).
    • Assist customers with assay development projects using nanovial tech to better address their biological questions.
    • Support and align with the business development department to help convert incoming leads and prospects into customers.
    • Respond to existing or new customer inquiries and/or questions via email, phone, or web meetings.
    • Continued interaction and follow ups with existing users to help troubleshoot assays or uncover and initiate new assay development projects.
    • Collate feedback from customers and relay internally to inform product development efforts.
    • Provide in person or webinar presentations to customers. Review, write or advise on protocols for nanovial workflows for various cell types and analyte interrogation using instrumentation including flow analyzers, flow sorters and single cell sequencers.
    • Support the creation of product brochures, white papers, or presentations.


    QUALIFICATIONS

     Minimum technical qualifications:

    • Ph.D. + 2 years of exp or M.S. + 5 years of industry exp, or B.S. +10 years of industry exp. in Immunology, Antibody Discovery, Cell therapy development, Molecular & Cell Biology, Bioengineering or a related field.
    • Expert in flow cytometry and biochemical assays such as ELISA.
    • Demonstrated track-record of experimental design and publication.

     Preferred technical qualifications:

    • Experience with antibody discovery or cell therapy discovery workflows.
    •  Experience with single-cell sequencing workflows and data analysis.
    • B-cell immunology, T-cell immunology, and repertoire sequencing.
    • Demonstrated commercial experience (Sales, Marketing, Support) in life science research industry.

     Personal qualifications:

    • Live in the Boston metropolitan area.  Will consider strong candidates in the Mid-Atlantic region.
    • Dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with a diverse range of individuals from different disciplines.
    • Ability to effectively network in both academic and industry environments.
    • Capable communicator, particularly in data reporting, experimental design, and project presentations.
    • Solutions oriented mindset and the ability to carve a path where there is none.
    • Must be comfortable “wearing many hats” and working in a start-up environment.
    • Transparent and generous knowledge exchange across multiple departments as needed.
    • Comfortable working alone or in a team setting.
    • The ability to travel 35% of the time (mostly local, occasionally interstate).
