    Our Client's parent company is one of the world’s leading businesses focused on bringing innovative tools to life science researchers and clinicians. Its product lines include flow cytometers, cell imaging systems, monoclonal antibodies, research reagents, diagnostic assays, and tools to help grow tissue and cells.

    Our Client is a subsidiary and produces polymeric reagents for use in Flow Cytometry and other biological applications.

     Job Summary:

     The Continuous Improvement Staff Engineer/Scientist will be accountable for continuous improvement initiatives within the context of product development. This position will focus on effective management of New Product Introduction CI projects and achievement of results including creating a culture of Continuous Improvement through training and coaching of associates on CI methods and issue resolution. Individual will play a key role in the design, development and implementation of lean based tools, Standardized Work, Process Optimization, Problem Solving Methodology, and work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in depth evaluation of various factors.

     Job Responsibilities:

    • Design, manage, and track the execution of CI actitivies for PD to successful completion utilizing effective control plans to sustain improvements

    • Work with Leaders in the deployment of technical capability (DFSS), consistency of implementation, transfer of best practice cross-functionally

    • Drive the planning and execution of deployment activities for Process Transfer, Process Excellence, Re-engineering & Transformation across the entire organization.

    • Provides coaching at all levels in continuous improvement philosophy, culture and Client's vision.

    • Drive CI blitz activities.

    • Actively seek and qualify new opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction and improve customer satisfaction for NPI processes.

    • Formulate key recommendations regarding improvements needed to achieve strategic business objectives, and proactively identify objectives in jeopardy of not being achieved without substantial improvement efforts.

    • Foster and encourage an organizational focus on process management, including related metrics, management-by-fact and best practice business discipline.

    • Introduce quality tools and improvement methods to monitor and optimize the efficiency of operating processes in the organization.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Education and Experience:

    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Business, Statistics, Engineering, Analytics, or related discipline.

    • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in product/process development or a combination of equivalent education and experience.

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in change management.

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience mining and analyzing complex data sets.

    • Minimum of 3 years’ project management experience in leading strategic projects with high complexity.

    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with Lean Six Sigma and Design for Six Sigma (DFSS).

    • Experience with Agile Product Development methodology strongly preferred.

    • Possesses strong strategic abilities and has demonstrated the ability to develop a vision and drive for successful attainment of that vision.

    • Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and progressive thinking.
