  • Responsibilities

    The Product Manager, Clinical Genetics is responsible for advancing the use of the our client's system in the area of clinical genetics. They are responsible for upstream and downstream marketing activities for key application areas, including pharmacogenetics and hereditary genetics.

     REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Responsible for conceptualizing and implementing marketing programs to drive demand for key application areas, including pharmacogenetics and hereditary genetics.
      • Take high level messaging and direction for marketing content creation for targeted campaigns, including collateral, emails, ads, videos, white papers, etc. in collaboration with technical experts.
    • Educates commercial team on assigned market areas and products.
    • Manages on market products including sustaining activities, messaging, positioning, and promotions.
    • Responsible for bringing to market products in the Clinical Genetics portfolio as well as helping to define and drive the strategy for this portfolio.
      • Defines and maintains portfolio and marketing plans for Clinical Genetics products, including development of new products and sustaining projects to drive improvements.
      • Sets and delivers against product revenue goals.
      • Assesses market needs and gaps, competitive landscape, opportunities and trends for assigned market areas.
      • Leads commercial strategy for new and sustaining projects, from product concept to end of life, including pricing strategy.
      • Defines product requirements, business cases and serves as primary voice of customer during product development.
      • Coordinates successful relationship with key customers to ensure successful product adoption.
      • Develops and delivers product launch activities, sales collateral, technical and sales training.
      • Interfaces with manufacturing, operations, quality and R&D on product issues to ensure products meet customer expectations.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

      Knowledge in molecular biology/other sciences to quickly grasp the concepts of pharmacogenetic testing.
    • B.S. in relevant scientific discipline-Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology preferred.
    • 2-4 years of experience including responsibility in related marketing or product management in Life Sciences or Clinical field.
    • Strong technical knowledge of genomics, next generation sequencing and molecular biology products preferred.
    • Demonstrated experience in launching and sustaining products in the molecular diagnostics market preferred.
    • Experience conducting market researching and developing product requirements, creating financial models and business cases.
    • Must have experience in customer interactions in either a Sales, Business Development or Marketing function.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop long-term product strategies and go-to-market plans.
    • Must have proficient written, communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to diverse audiences.
    • Experience working in cross-functional teams covering various internal organizations.
    • Self-starter willing to work in a fast-paced environment with time and project management skills, and ability to prioritize competing requests.
