  • Responsibilities

    The Senior Product Manager, Systems, Software & Consumables will manage the entire MassARRAY System, software and consumables portfolio life cycle to drive adoption and exceed revenue goals. The Senior Product Manager acts as the internal expert for the product line, analyzes market trends and opportunities, and has a strong grasp on competitive technologies and customer needs.

    Responsible for both upstream and downstream marketing, this role will interface with internal stakeholders, including product development, Engineering R&D, Bioinformatics, Software Development, and Customer Support to lead new product introductions, product line extensions and sustaining activities for both the RUO and IVD MassARRAY Systems, Software and consumables.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Analyzes competitive activities to define positioning and key differentiators.
    • Provides in-field support and training to sales and support staff, including giving customer presentations and opportunity management to identify and progress new opportunities.
    • Interacts with customers and internal stakeholders to understand product opportunities and translate market needs to new product requirements.
    • Develops relationships with industry leaders.
    • Works collaboratively with the regional and marketing communications team to plan lead generation campaigns and marketing materials.
    • Partners with commercial operations team to ensure successful commercialization of new products.
    • Participates in process and operation improvement opportunities.

    Experience

    •  Bachelor’s degree in business, life science, engineering, or related technical discipline. Master’s preferred.
    • 3 – 5 years’ commercial experience in clinical diagnostics, 2-3 years marketing management experience, preferably in IVD product management, market development, product awareness/promotion, collaborations, or related experience.
    • Comprehensive understanding of the use of genetic analysis methods for use in clinical research, specifically for use in genetic predisposition and targeted therapies.
    • Ability to position existing products to drive new market opportunities.
    • Proven track of identifying new market and/or product opportunities.
    • Skilled presentation and communication skills (verbal and written).
    • Proven ability to lead and influence across the organization (product management, sales, R&D, etc.) with divergent interests in order to create a defined, focused course of action.

    Physical Demands & Environmental Conditions

    • Regularly walks, stands, and sits
    •  Regularly works on a computer for approximately 8 hours a day
    • The position will work in a team environment, interacting with all related cross functional groups throughout the organization, including executive management, manufacturing operations, research and development, business development and marketing, finance, legal, and external consultants where applicable.
    • Ability to travel to other locations as needed
