    Launch Excellence Director is a key member of the US Region Medication Management Commercial Leadership team responsible for leading the strategy and execution of MMS US region launches. This role reports to the VP, of US Marketing, and partners with senior leaders of sales, service, marketing, customer care, the business units, and finance to improve commercial launch effectiveness.

    Position will have outstanding opportunity to develop commercial capabilities to conduct leading launch excellence throughout the MMS US Region. Key measures of success will be launch metrics and successful business outcome across the portfolio. Position will also lay out end to end launch management process in partnership with the team members.

    The position will be a member of MMS US region Marketing leadership team, providing critical input into new product development, innovation strategy portfolio management, portfolio strategy, developing, and driving marketing plans, and developing marketing competencies within the regional marketing teams. This team member will closely collaborate with MMS platform teams to ensure a smooth transition from product development to launch execution, while advising and influencing portfolio roadmaps.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for developing strategic commercialization and organization launch readiness and execution.

    • Develop and implement “where to play” and “how to win” strategy for new launches.

    • Learn and instruct Way of Marketing framework to the MMS US Region, while actively sharing and embracing best-practices across the company

    • Commercial readiness with clear line of sight for and first 90 days execution.

    • Build, maintain and implement Launch planning in partnership with all collaborators in the US region, platform and corporate teams.

    • Develop a detailed launch timeline, identify dependencies, and lead a cross-functional team to a predictable launch window.

    • Develop infrastructure for successful launch execution (i.e., resources, process and data insights, subject matter authorities, market shaping).

    • Develop launch process, success factors and strong governance mechanism.

    • Able to anticipate challenges, establish mitigation plans, and navigate through successful execution.

    • Portfolio includes software, capital products and consumables.

    • Tight-knit collaboration with sales & commercial teams with bias to action and impact.

    • Engage with external consultants and corporate strategic groups for launch readiness and execution.

    • Responsible for deploying omnichannel capabilities to enable launch excellence.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in sciences or business.

    • MBA required.

    • Suggested minimum of 10+ years of commercial leadership primarily in launch excellence, ideally with medical device and capital industry.

    • Strategic demeanor with downstream commercial excellence, sales and marketing leadership required.

    • Extensive experience with software tools including, but not limited to CRM systems (salesforce.com), learning management systems, dashboarding tools (Power BI), relational databases and MS Office applications

    • Direct supervision of professional associates

    • Strong marketing background, understanding of segmentation, positioning, value offer development, establishing GTM models, pricing and experience of working with sales organization.

    • Track record of achievement in delivering large and/or multiple launches across the medical industry, especially US.

    • Experience in developing organizational launch readiness, setting up cross-functional teams and delivering on-time launches.

    • Comprehensive understanding of the medical industry including the drivers and barriers to enable business growth.

    • Relevant understanding of scoping and driving successful projects through agile methodology.

    • Develop and implement strategic launches with high impact.

    • Knowledge of Medical Industry, especially US, with desired experience in Health IT, Service and capital sales.

    • Sound decision making capabilities and the ability to make decisions, even in absence of consensus when necessary.

    • Familiarity and track record of developing sales tools, education, and training programs to boost sales skills, technical proficiency and overall efficiency.

    • Creative out-of-the-box problem solver who is intellectually curious, stays current on new trends, and takes calculated risks with novel ideas.

    • Ability to set a vision, lead change and to motivate others.

    • Flexibility to travel within the US region and customer sites up to 30% of the time.

    • Demonstrated ability to use analytics and market facts to develop business strategies and deliver results.

    • Strong financial and analytical background.

    • Experience leading complex teams, in a matrix organization.
