    Our Client is a contract research organization that provides a diversity of service offerings including molecular and cellular biology, stable cell line development, protein purification and process development as well as customized immunology and pre-clinical in vivo services.

    We are seeking a Research Associate who under the direction of a senior scientist or director will be responsible for the execution of all technical tasks and data analysis associated with cell line development projects. In addition, the position will be necessary to executing cell line development and process development projects for clients. The candidate will be an innovative, independent and motivated professional. He or she will have experience in combinations of the following areas: stable and transient expression of proteins and antibodies, development of recombinant cell lines, early-stage upstream process development and production of proteins and monoclonal antibodies in shake flasks and bench-scale bioreactors. The candidate will be able to perform analytical assays used to characterize expressed proteins and antibodies including ELISA, Western Blot, BLI measurement. The candidate will have experience with troubleshooting protein expression, cell culture and assay related problems.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • BS, MS in any discipline of Biology or chemical engineering

    • Experience in mammalian cell line development within a drug discovery organization or a CRO

    • Deep knowledge of mammalian cell protein expression and upstream process development across different platforms.

    • Deep and current knowledge of bioreactor design, function and maintenance. Direct involvement in a GMP process or transfer to a GMP facility.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and proven success working in matrix environments
