    The Companion Diagnostics Sales Executive (“CDx SE”) will serve as the dedicated account executive responsible for ensuring continuous our client's business growth and partnership with the world’s top biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.

    This position will work with the business development team to penetrate the world’s top biotechnology and pharmaceutical accounts. The CDx SE will serve as the primary sales relationship for the sourcing and onboarding of partnerships and projects. The CDx SE will develop and maintain a seamless partnership with the customer to maximize all aspects of the relationship, including:

    • Adoption and use of our client's technology
    • Financial performance and business growth
    • Customer satisfaction
    • Product and technology development and optimization

    The CDx SE will maximize the strategic business relationship by aligning the customer’s mission and strategic goals with successful utilization of current and future technology and services; and to manage both the customer relationship and the development of the project through successful completion.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop high-value, long-term profitable customer accounts through relationship building sales techniques.
    • Prepare and present compelling customer sales presentations, participate in all sales activities and assist with general customer support.
    • Effectively Negotiate sales opportunities within company established parameters and pricing in assigned accounts and generate associated sales contracts and quotations.
    • Leverage CRM system to develop and maintain account contacts and generate additional revenue from existing customer base.
    • Provide regular and accurate sales forecast updates.
    • Effectively build a sales pipeline and manage the necessary levels of sales leads and opportunities.
    • Act as a central contact to ensure all communication aspects of the business relationship flow efficient, effective, and deployed appropriately.
    • Build relationships at all levels of the customer organization. Ensure continuity of the relationship with the accounts and operate at the highest level in the accounts’ organizations; facilitating the executive level interfaces between the company and the accounts as needed
    • Generate new business ideas through independent scouting of sources; adding to the pipeline of business opportunities
    • Determine the attractiveness of identified business ideas; prepare compelling business case proposals to show potential and further internal discussions; develop persuasive business cases to get qualification by management and the necessary budget for further development into a business plan
    • Manage the sales process including pricing management, project pipeline visibility, product and revenue forecasting, order transactions, and ship schedules.
    • Participate in the introduction of new technology platforms and products to key accounts. Facilitate and enable flow of information to and from customer during pre-commercial phases.
    • Understand the competitive dynamics within the account and lead development and implementation of strategies and tactics that best position technology and products to neutralize competitor growth.
    • Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Handbook and follows guidelines regarding safety as outlined in the AWAIR, Chemical Hygiene and Exposure Control manuals in accordance with the job.

     QUALIFICATIONS

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree required; majors in Marketing, Business or Science are ideal. in Life Sciences is highly preferred.
    • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Life Science sales or a related area.

       

      Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Strong technical background in molecular biology.
    • Developed professional and strategic sales skills with proven ability to develop and grow key accounts through networking at all levels of the customer organization.
    • Highly motivated with demonstrated interpersonal, presentation, organization, and negotiation skills.
    • Skilled in anticipating and resolving issues
    • Excellent attention to detail, time management and process management
    • Proficient in the use of computer and mobile applications and software, including but not limited to
    • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel, Skype, Teams, CRM Salesforce. Motus.
    • Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partner collaboratively with multiple teams.
    • Ability to analyze and provide qualitative insight for business recommend and solutions.
    • Ability to travel (while complying with all pandemic related federal, state and company guidelines) to support business needs.
    • Up to 25% to 30% overnight travel possible.
