    Job Description

    Established CPA and consulting firm looking for an experienced, sharp-minded and personable Audit Supervisor to join our team in Pasadena. We are looking for someone who is willing to provide outstanding services for our clients. The ideal candidate must be ready to work in a fast-paced environment, organized and have superior communication skills.

    Duties

    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and serve as the client’s primary contact where appropriate
    • Ability to work on multiple engagements, manage own schedule and client deadlines
    • Assume responsibility for efficient supervision of engagements
    • Possess a thorough understanding of GAAP, OCBOA, unique or specialized accounting principles, and financial statement presentations
    • Possess a thorough understanding of generally accepted auditing standards and common audit procedures and techniques
    • Assist with planning and execution of the audit in accordance with auditing standards
    • Proficient at preparing and reviewing financial statements
    • Must be able to recognize issues, i.e. fraud assessment and internal control deficiencies
    • Prepare management letter and internal control communications
    • Ability to communicate status of work with managers or partners on a timely basis
    • Supervise staff and senior accountants, provide feedback and evaluate their progress
    • Ability to complete assigned projects within engagement timelines and budget guidelines
    • Travel to client assignments as needed
    • Participate in trainings, recruiting events, and firm activities

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 4 years of related experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
    • Previous experience in a public accounting firm preferred
    • CPA License
    • Superior verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities and take initiatives on projects
    • Exceptional project and time management skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment
    • Master’s in Accounting a plus
