    Summary

    Parks guest vehicles and/or assists guest with luggage. keeps premises of hotel building in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Welcome guests courteously and enthusiastically to hotel.

    Opens door to vehicles, assists guests with luggage and guides guests to check-in.

    Assists guests taking luggage to room and once in room provide guests with information on room details.

    On check-out assists guests with taking luggage to vehicles

    Parks and retrieves vehicles.

    Engages in conversation with guests in order to be source of local information.

    Ensures that all HLC policies, in regard to vehicles are enforced.

    Obeys all federal, state, and local traffic laws.

    Provides security for guests by following procedures as outlined in the HLC safety and security manual.

    Keeps arrival area clean and well maintained.

    Performs additional tasks as assigned by Front Desk Manager or Property Manager.

    Qualification Requirements

    Education and/or Experience

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination or education and experience. Must have valid driver’s license and pass insurance company DMV background check if parking vehicles.

    Language Skills

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before small groups of customers or employees of our organization.

    Mathematical Skill

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    Reasoning Ability

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

    Must hold a valid driver’s license. Corporate office will review NVR record. Can have no more than one moving violation and no major traffic violations.
