Collectively, the hotels are marketed as Historic Inns of Savannah. In business for almost 50 years, HLC employs more than 130 people with a corporate office located inside The Kehoe House on Columbia Square. Job Summary

    Tends laundry machines to clean articles such as rags, wiping cloths, linens, bedspreads, drapes, and other washable items found in hotel/motel by performing the following duties.

    What will you do on a regular day?

    Load articles into washer and determine the proper level of product to be dispensed into the machine. Start the machine that automatically washes and rinses the articles.

    Lift clean, wet articles from washer and places them into the dryer.

    Sort dried articles according to type. Fold dried articles and places them in appropriate storage bin or area.

    Soak contaminated articles special solution to precondition articles for washing.

    Mix dyes and bleaches according to formula, and dyes and bleaches specified articles.

    Regularly clean the laundry processing equipment.

    Keep laundry room clean, neat, and organized.

    This job requires continuous movement, regularly bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, and moving up to 25 pounds. You may also be required to lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally. You must be able to stand and walk for an entire shift and perform repetitive motions.

    This job is open to applicants who do not have a high school diploma/GED and is a good fit for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience. You need basic English communication skills, both written and verbal.
