    HOJ INNOVATIONS is currently seeking a sharp, highly motivated, and skilled AutoCAD Drafter/Detailer to join our growing team. The Drafter/Detailer will work with our team of engineers and project managers to provide high-level drafting and design services on various industrial engineering projects. The successful candidate will have extensive experience working with AutoCAD, Inventor, or other software, possess advanced design skills, and a have a keen eye for detail.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Read, understand, and interpret design drawings and standard details.
    • Create Sheet Metal Flat pattern drawings
    • Modify Installation drawings per project plans and specifications
    • Create erection drawings and bill of materials for field construction use
    • Create/Modify/Configure Conveyor models using HYCAD
    • Determine the most efficient use of materials
    • Coordinate the preparation of shop drawings in accordance with customer schedule and/or contract requirements and forward for approval
    • Work effectively with other engineers and project managers in a project environment
    • Meet deadlines, perform effectively under pressure, and maintain a positive attitude
    • Support Engineering, Sales, Installations and Department Manager as requested
    • Take field measurements to create building/structure drawings when drawings do not exist
    • Field verify dimensions/design/existing equipment/structures when requested
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

    • Must be proficient in AutoCAD

    • Proficient in modeling and detailing in Inventor a plus

    • Ability to read and understand architectural, civil, structural, and mechanical drawings

    • Must be able to deliver a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

    • Strong communication skills, including analytical, collaboration and problem solving

    • Good organizational skills with the ability to work independently and follow directions

    • The ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment subject to specific deadlines that must be met, while verifying the accuracy of own and/or others’ work

    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

    • A person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results

    • Associates degree or higher in a drafting related career field or equivalent drafting experience

    • Minimum of 2 years of AutoCAD experience

    • Background experience in the fabrication, construction, or manufacturing industries preferred.
