    The Transport Driver will work for Hoj Forklift Systems, a division of Hoj Innovations, and will be responsible for delivering forklifts to our customers. This position is for those who want to jump start their career and be part of this team-oriented company. The Transport Driver will be required to load, transport, and unload equipment and/or other materials to and from specified local destinations. Our clients include some of the best brands in the world, and we need the best people to deliver our exceptional services to them.     ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – Secures load with chains, binders and straps; Loads and unloads truck;  Drives truck with capacity of more than 3 tons to destination;  Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions;  Prepares receipts for load picked up;  Collects payment for goods delivered and for delivery charges;  Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations;  Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water;  Inspects truck equipment for safety related items on a daily basis;  Maintains truck fluids at proper levels; Operates forklifts and scissor lifts; Conducts training on the safe operations of equipment and demonstrates skills to customers; Performs other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS – High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience – Ability to operate a standard transmission  –  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals  – Ability to write routine reports and correspondence – Ability to speak effectively in one-on-one and small groups of customers or employees of organization – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals  – Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs  – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form  – Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations  –  A valid Commercial Driver’s License with both Air Brakes and Hazardous Materials Endorsements, and a good driving record is required.  Previous experience in transporting equipment preferred.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS - The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.  While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
