  • Responsibilities

    CALIBRE Systems, Inc., an employee-owned Management Consulting and Digital Transformation company, is looking for an environmental professional to support program evaluation and management and use their remediation experience to help develop and implement acquisition strategies for Air Force environmental remediation projects. The ideal candidate will want to work in a team environment, have a mind toward identifying process improvement opportunities, and have experience working on and/or managing federal remediation/restoration projects.

    Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Develop acquisition documents, such as Performance Work Statements (PWSs), based on the site-specific regulatory framework and input from Air Force and additional Government personnel
    • Develop materials for decision makers, such as draft reports and briefings
    • Develop and conduct analysis on project tracking spreadsheets and additional data tracking forms
    • Facilitate meetings and draft meeting reports
    • Develop guidance and training on internal or client-focused processes and procedures
    • Support Government in reviewing contract change requests and documenting basis for decisions
    • Assist the Air Force client in developing strategic acquisition strategies for environmental restoration sites
    • Support internal and client-focused program/project management activities

    Required Skills

    Required Experience

    • Must be able to work on client site in San Antonio, TX, on a regular basis.
    • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience with a BA/BS or 2 years’ experience with an MA/MS
    • Working knowledge of the Defense Environmental Restoration Program (DERP), Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA), and Resource Conservation & Recovery Act (RCRA)
    • Experience managing remediation projects (or portions of major projects)
    • Experience preparing and delivering briefings to senior managers

    Preferred Experience:

    • Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM) certification
    • Other professional certification (PE, PG)
    • Experience using advanced functions of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, charts, and formulas
    • Experience with Department of Defense acquisition planning and execution
    • Experience with Microsoft Project and SharePoint
  • Qualifications

    Essential Functions

    • Help administer project safety program to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
    • Helps provide technical assistance on the project, interprets contract drawings and submittals
    • Assist assistant superintendent, project superintendent, and project manager with daily and weekly tasks including daily reports, daily safety walks, weekly quantity reports, and weekly schedule updates
    • Understand the project schedule and the critical path
    • Review content for the short-term plan
    • Participate in the quality program including attending meetings, performing inspections, and verifying materials
