  • Responsibilities

    The Gulf Coast Region is currently seeking a Consultant to join our Houston team.  As a specialized, multidisciplinary group within HOK the team works with clients to help align their business strategies with their real estate, facilities, and workplaces, to effectively master change.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Completes projects for multiple service lines. (Change Management, Facility Strategy, Portfolio Planning, Workplace Strategy)
    • Supports client interface to include preparing leave behind and qualification packages.
    • Works on project assignments with multiple location teams.
    • Assists in preparation of proposals, including project approach, schedule and definition of deliverables.
    • May performs complex analysis tasks on projects and problem solving on projects (e.g. workplace observation surveys, functional relationship analysis, highest and best use studies, supply and demand, utilization analysis, cross over analysis, stacking & blocking, migration schedules, cost estimates and project schedules, site and zoning analysis, code analysis, organizational analysis, personnel forecast, space type analysis, density analysis, space inventory, efficiency ratios, capacity models and facility benchmarks).
    • Makes project presentations to small client groups and client managers.
    • Presents program and facility plans to HOK project teams in a clear and concise manner.
    • Participates in Long Distance Learning ( LDL) programs.
    • Fosters a commitment to external and internal client service.

    Required Skills

    • Knowledge and ability to use analytical and problem-solving techniques.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, BIM and Graphics.
    • Proficiency in Autodesk products (AutoCAD and Revit) and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, illustrator, and Photoshop.
    • Strong analysis and spreadsheet capabilities are essential components.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
    • Ability to complete tasks and produce deliverables independently.

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor or Master’s degree in architecture, real estate, interior or planning.
    • 5 to 10 years of previous experience, including experience in five or more building types.
