    The person in this position coordinates projects on behalf of Enrollment Management and possesses a high level of functional expertise in the area. In conjunction with the area functional managers, this person assembles project teams and delegates project tasks. This position also recommends ongoing staffing and service needs in the related areas in support of current products and new product implementation. This position consults with data analysts, IMT, and other stakeholders to optimize business processes and systems configuration across related modules. Additionally, this position makes recommendations to other partnering areas for best data practices and provides early feedback to department management regarding potential projects. This position is involved in building and maintain reporting tools for The Office of the Registrar reports across related modules. Works closely with Graduate, Professional, and Traditional UG Enrollment areas as well as IMT.

     

    REQUIRED EDUCATION

     

    • A Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems or related field, or equivalent work experience is required.

     

     

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

    • 5-7 years of experience configuring and managing a Student Records system (or related systems)
    • Ability to execute high-level reporting for Enrollment within Higher Education
    • Good development knowledge of PeopleTools, SQL, Application Engine, Component Interface, Integration Broker
    • Experience writing multiple and complex reports using PeopleSoft reporting utilities (BI Publisher and Connected Query knowledge preferred)
    • Experience working with relational databases and strong SQL skills
    • PeopleSoft Application Developer certification is preferred but not required
    • 2+ years of experience in PeopleSoft application development is preferred
    • Demonstrated growth over time in technical knowledge, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
    • High-level technical skill in application planning, configuration, and optimization
    • Strong customer service experience with an emphasis on customer satisfaction
    • Experience with incident, configuration and change management

    DESIRED EXPERIENCE

    • 4-6 years of experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
    • 3-5 years of experience in project management.
    • 2-4 years of experience working with financial aid regulations.
    • Experience providing technical support and clear communication to all levels of organizational staff and leadership.
    • Hands on experience with process automation, best practice approaches, technology efficiency, and effectiveness.

     

    PRIMARY DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

     

    • Design, code and/or debug applications running in the PeopleSoft environment.
    • Full lifecycle application development and enhancement.
    • In addition to Sr. BSA for SIS, serves as Tier 2 support for PeopleSoft operational issues, using PeopleTools expertise to provide guidance to Data Analysts (Tier 1) in the Enrollment-customer facing units. Bridges to IMT Application Administrators & Engineers for Tier 3 support.
    • Test software for quality assurance
    • Analyze functional and technical requirements, data, codes, applications or systems
    • In conjunction with area functional managers and project manager, coordinates projects on behalf of Enrollment Management.
    • Recommends ongoing staffing and service needs for the Registrar/Student Records Module in support of current products and new product implementation.
    • Consults with data analysts, IMT, and other stakeholders to optimize business processes and systems configuration across related modules.
    • Makes recommendations to other partnering areas for best data practices.
    • Works closely with ETS to help build dimensional data models
    • Provides early feedback to department management regarding potential projects.
    • Researches new configuration, customizations, and add-ons as required to support internal departments.
    • Represents the team at IMT meetings and works to include other experts and stakeholders, as needed.
    • Lead area analyst in the process of building and maintaining reporting tools and dashboards for the The Office of the Registrar, especially for cross-functional reporting and reporting that contains complex requirements.
    • Facilitates and provides training and knowledge transfer across the module as it relates to related Student Records, including training on new business tools.
    • Participates in regular knowledge sharing across related analyst teams.
    • In partnership with functional managers and university stakeholders, suggests process and/or technology changes to meet new business opportunities, changing requirements, or restoration of service.
    • Consistently trains on technology tools and regularly researches industry best practices.
    • Assists with Commencement planning and execution, and is required to work all commencement events (Winter and Spring) of each calendar year.

    COMPENSATION

    • Grade 16: $40.96-$53.23/hourly
    • Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
