    We are currently seeking a Human Resources Assistant to join our team. As a Human Resources Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative services to support the human resources programs and procedures of one or more business units.  

    • Performs administrative functions within the human resources department.  Works closely with the Human Resources team for guidance on practice and procedure adherence. 
    • Serves as point of contact for employee questions, information, and forms. 
    • Responsible for the maintenance of employment files, processes required status forms and paperwork, and performs data entry ensuring systems containing employment-related data is accurate.  Coordinates closely with Payroll for accurate and timely payroll processing.
    • Assists with recruitment process, including scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and generating offer letters.  May assist with relocation efforts.
    • Assists in organizational training and development efforts.
    • Coordinates benefit enrollments and assists employees with company benefits questions and issues.
    • Processes unemployment and workers’ compensation claims.
    • Creates new hire packets; may perform orientation and onboarding.
    • Coordinates employee recognition awards program.
    • Provides employment verifications for current and former employees.
    • Tracks continuing education and maintains records for licensure.
    • Tracks, orders and distributes American Express, parking, security access and business cards.
    • Works with Corporate Human Resources and Payroll for guidance on firmwide practice, policy and procedure adherence.  Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures for continuous improvement and the quality of services provided.
    • May perform other administrative duties for the department.
    • Takes personal responsibility for fostering a green workplace through sustainable work practices.

    • Ability to work efficiently, in an organized manner and with attention to detail. 
    • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing. 
    • Strong customer service orientation.
    • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
    • Exposure to ADP and SilkRoad preferred.

     

    Required Experience

    • High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
    • 3+ years’ experience in a secretarial or clerical position required.  Previous human resources experience preferred.
