  • Responsibilities

    HOK is looking for an ARCHITECTURAL STUDENT INTERN to assist our SCIENCE+TECHNOLOGY team.  This is a temporary position working 12 hours per week for a period of up to 8 weeks.   This particular position can be located in our Atlanta, Chicago or Philadelphia office.  When applying, please indicate in which office you prefer to work.  We would like the successful candidate to start as soon as possible. 

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assists in building design and project benchmarking and data analysis.
    • Prepares and modifies architectural documents, elevations, sections, details, etc. as directed by others utilizing CAD/BIM.
    • Develops solutions to technical and design problems following established standards.
    • Prepares 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings.
    • Takes personal responsibility for fostering a green workplace through sustainable work practices.
    • Fosters a commitment to external and internal client service.

     

    OTHERS:

    • Overtime may be required.

    Required Skills

    • Possess basic hand and CAD/BIM drafting skills.
    • Basic knowledge in AutoCAD/Architectural Desktop.
    • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
    • Basic knowledge in Revit is required.
    • Proficiency in 3D Modeling software such as 3D Studio Max and Viz 2006 desirable.
    • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, and InDesign graphic software desirable.
    • Basic knowledge about sustainability, integrated design and LEED guidelines.
    • Ability to effectively meet deadlines.
    • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to work in team environment.

    Required Experience

    • Currently enrolled in an architecture or related degree program.
  • Qualifications
