We are currently seeking a full-time substance abuse counselor for our expanding addiction treatment facility located in Dundalk, Maryland. This is a great opportunity for an experienced and creative clinician who wants to be involved in the development and on-going enhancement of the program as we grow. Our integrative approach combines evidence-based complementary therapies with traditional group and individual therapy to fully address client issues and provide a solid and personalized program of treatment and recovery. Candidate will receive supervision.

The counselor is responsible for performing client care activities as directed by the Clinical Director and in consultation with the Medical Director. He/she provides group and individual therapy and collaborates with the Treatment Team in the formulation of the Master Treatment Plan and Discharge Plan. The counselor maintains open communication lines with all facility staff, clients and families and acts as a liaison with community agencies.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Licensing: ADT, CSC-AD, or CAC-AD Ability to contribute to an Interdisciplinary Team approach Substance Use and Co-Occurring Disorder Preferred Experience in Chemical dependency/dual-diagnosis setting, preferably in a residential, partial hospitalization and/or outpatient facility.
