    Job Description

    HORIBA is a global group of companies that develops, manufactures and provides an extensive array of analytical and measurement equipment to countries around the world. HORIBA INSTRUMENTS INCORPORATED (HII) corporate offices are located in Irvine, CA.   

    Our Information Technology team is searching for an outstanding individual for the position of Salesforce Developer / ServiceMax Administrator. This role is responsible for administering our existing builds as well as designing and implementing custom solutions to support a vast array of critical business functions. Apex coding capability is highly desired. The Admin will work closely with end users, department leaders, developers and executives. ServiceMax responsibilities include User setup (create, amend, deactivate), training, and management of the customer “ship-to” data to insure that work orders from ServiceMax flow to the SAP system.   

    Accountable for establishing and maintaining leading Saleforce presence that adapts to or exceeds competition-based offerings. Perform Business Analyst obligations as targeted to external facing applications and end-user technologies. Incorporate feedback from external sources towards ongoing improvements in satisfaction metrics. Oversee internet product processes that support end-user connectivity and servicing. Ensure cohesion of development/acquisition approaches which align with HORIBA implementation standards and processes. Manage product releases and maintenance of processes and services on Salesforce. Work with IT team for implementation of solutions across all HORIBA business units and for continuous enhancements of products on Salesforce.  

    This position will be located in Irvine CA or Piscataway, New Jersey. Travel is minimal but at times would be required for implementation and training within and outside the U.S.   

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  

     · Design and develop new applications on Salesforce & ServiceMax Platform. Follow HORIBA Instruments Incorporated best practices of development, administration and Deployment. Provide help desk support to users of ServiceMax. Follow HORIBA practices for documentation.   

    · Enhance, change and modify existing application based on business requirements. Develop Dashboards and reports as per business requirements. Periodically impart training to users.  

    · Develop new and enhance Custom objects, visualforce pages, Controllers (standard, Custom & Extension to implement logic of visualforce), Apex triggers Workflows, Validation rules and Triggers. Implement and enhance security, through permission sets , profiles and maintain integrity of data. Work on Process builder for updates on objects. Create logical email alerts and notification. Integrate orgs using REST and SOAP Services. Integrate Applications using Middleware.  

    · Work on ServiceMax and Salesforce Customer and Partner Communities. Develop managed packages. Develop dynamic code if required for real time testing. Deploy from sandbox to Production.  

    · Support Helpdesk tickets of global users in Salesforce and serviceMax.   

    · Support ServiceMax patch/ release level upgrades, testing and production deployment.  

    · Develop plans and ideas of how ServiceMax can be used to support the service activity.   

    · Insure workorders from ServiceMax to SAP are transferring properly daily.  

     TECHNICAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:  

     · Languages & Web: Java, Apex, Visual Force, C++, XML, HTML5, PHP, JSON, Python, jQuery, JavaScript  

    · Databases: SQL  

    · Working knowledge of MS office products  

    · Data Migration: Data Loader, Workbench, etc.  

    · Working knowledge of Middleware: JItterbit/Mulesoft  

    · Knowledgeable about Salesforce Object Query language (SOQL) & Salesforce Object Search Language (SOSL)  

    · Experience in integration of Salesforce.com applications with other applications with an emphasis of the Web Services or other integration method.  

    · Knowledgeable about Service Cloud and Call center functionality.  

    · Experience in Salesforce data security and organizational hierarchy for sales and service.  

    · Application integration knowledge like getfeedback with Salesforce.

    EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:   

    •  Certified Salesforce Developer and Administrator, Certified ServiceMax Developer and Administator.   
    • Bachelor's degree preferred in a field requiring strong analytical and quantitative skills such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Information Systems Architecture/Technical Architecture, or equivalent working experience.  
    • Development experience involving APEX coding, visual source page development, SOQL, VSCode, and DML  
    • Extensive integration experience with other systems  
    • Salesforce release management experience required  
    • 5+ years of Salesforce platform experience required
