Position Overview:
With an ever-changing business environment, being able to find the next business improvement opportunity now is essential. Improvement opportunities may be uncovered via insights into data from accounting systems to help managers make better and more educated business decisions, or management of automated workflow processes, or setting up automation of system alerts to make managers aware of material changes to KPI’s. The role aims to provide the necessary information to help managers achieve their goals and support the organization in uncovering improvement opportunities in a highly competitive landscape.
Responsibilities:
Improve the optimization of complex business processes that can lead to efficiencies
Develop and automate processes and systems to improve the quality and productivity of the organization
Analyze bulk data to promote the improvement of operations
Serve as a liaison between corporate driven programs and the end user
Manage projects from formulation through completion
Serve as the technical expert for individual issues and a liaison between the Operations Team and the Accounting Team
Identify system design problems that contribute to human errors and find solutions or alternatives to mitigate errors
Develop statistical, graphical, and narrative reports justifying system efficiencies
Conduct occasional field studies and data collection efforts to support modeling and analysis
Communicate results and recommendations to senior leadership through presentations and reports
Coordinate with multiple 3rd party vendors regarding the integration of various systems and reporting tools
Education, Experience, and Skills:
Required:
o College degree in Business, Engineering, or Computer Science with an emphasis on systems and analysis and/or equivalent work experience
o Understanding of workflow processes along with the ability to document and implement such processes
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
o Project Management skills
Preferred:
o Previous experience in systems implementation and effectiveness is a plus
o Understanding the automation of various support systems (familiarity with accounting and operational systems preferred)
o Strong consulting skills and experience with consulting or quality improvement teams
o Strong computer skills including spreadsheets, database and statistical software
o Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and VBA, Microsoft SharePoint, M3, and Blackline
o Experience in conducting field studies/data collection efforts and analyses, including familiarity with capacity/demand analysis and modeling techniques is preferred
o Understanding of Lean and Just-In-Time Delivery
