Exciting opportunity to join a growing property management firm with over 1,200 units under management in Hyde Park. Hyde Park Property Management is looking for a full-time janitor to join its maintenance team. 

Responsibilities:

• Perform custodial work including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning windows, etc.
• Respond to resident maintenance requests in a timely fashion and with positive attitude.
• Perform a variety of maintenance duties including pest control, appliance maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and HVAC work.
• Snow removal from sidewalks and outdoor common areas.
• Work with vendors and specialists.
• Required to take on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• Any other duty and or task deemed fit by management.

REQUIREMENTS:

MUST HAVE:

• Knowledge of safety standards.
• Basic domestic plumbing, electrical, carpentry skills.
• Knowledge of HVAC Mechanics/Boilers.
• Basic communication skills to work with and relay issues to property managers.
• Needs reliable form of transportation and valid driver's license.
• Capable of lifting, bending, stooping, pushing & pulling heavy loads.
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 75 pounds.
• Must be able perform repetitive motion for extensive amount of time.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (full shift).
• Minimum of 3-5 years residential/apartment or hospitality maintenance experience.

NICE TO HAVE:

• Local 1 training or HVAC, Plumbing or Mechanical Trade certifications.
• Ability to cut keys.
