    Automotive Fabricator in Training Seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as an Apprentice Automotive Fabricator in Belleville, IL. The chosen candidate will closely collaborate with our Master Fabricator, participating in diverse fabrication assignments and mastering automotive fabrication methods. Graduation from an automotive technical school with a focus on welding or fabrication is a mandatory requirement for this position. Responsibilities: • Assist the master fabricator in Belleville, IL, US with executing fabrication projects according to specifications and deadlines. • Learn and apply various welding techniques, such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding, to fabricate metal components under supervision. • Safely and effectively utilize fabrication tools and equipment like grinders, saws, drills, bead rollers, shear, and bending machines. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring proper storage of materials and tools in the training facility. • Collaborate with team members under the guidance of the Master Fabricator to troubleshoot fabrication issues as they occur. • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to create a secure working environment for yourself and others during training. • Show eagerness to learn and adapt to new fabrication techniques and processes as instructed by the Master Fabricator. Qualifications: • Assist the master fabricator in executing automotive fabrication projects within specified deadlines. • Acquire knowledge and practice various welding methods, such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding, for crafting metal components. • Operate fabrication tools and machinery like grinders, saws, drills, and bending machines safely and efficiently. • Interpret and implement technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately for the production of parts and assemblies. • Maintain a tidy and well-organized workspace, ensuring proper storage of tools and materials. • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve fabrication challenges that may arise. • Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to uphold a secure working environment for yourself and colleagues. • Display a readiness to learn and adapt to new fabrication techniques and processes as necessary. Compensation: $18 - $20 hourly
