The HR Administrative Specialist will ensure the efficient operations of the company by managing the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including but not limited to screening potential staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, enforcing company policies and practices and compliance with regulatory authorities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Recruit, interview and hire staff
Conduct new hire training
Maintain employee files in accordance with regulatory requirements
Monitor expiration dates for training, CPR, Med Admin, driver’s license, and insurance for all employees
Coordinate insurance and supplemental benefits for staff
Respond to unemployment claims and other claims timely
Participate in disciplinary action meetings along with Program Coordinators and Senior Management
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
A minimum of two years of office administration experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
