    PURPOSE-DRIVEN NONPROFIT IS SEEKING AN EXPERIENCED BILINGUAL STAFF CLINICIAN!

    WHAT WE DO

    La Cocina is a purpose-driven multicultural and multilingual community codesigned mental health agency leading Latinx health equity and social justice in Colorado. The program's multidisciplinary team provides a range of services aimed at reducing inequities in mental health care by creating opportunities and generating offerings for Latinx families and communities to come together and heal through culturally attuned social-emotional support services in Spanish or bilingually (Spanish-English). La Cocina's services include a wide range of psychological and psychotherapeutic services for children, adults and families; as well as structured therapy groups and Charlas for adults and adolescents. The agency also offers case management, peer-supported programs, and forensic assessment services for individuals in immigration proceedings. Our teams provide trauma-informed and developmentally sensitive mental health services to Spanish-speaking Colorado families living in six+ counties, including Larimer, Weld, Eagle, Summit, Garfield, and greater Denver.

    THE OPPORTUNITY La Cocina's Staff Clinicians provide bilingual (Spanish-English) mental health services, including evaluation(s), psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, case management, and program support as directed by their direct supervisor and/or the Chief Clinical Officer. This position plays a significant role in advancing and growing Colorado's only Latinx Psychology and applied Latinx mental healthcare program and supports La Cocina's mission and vision by supporting practice-based programming that centers the clinical needs of Latinx individuals, families and communities.

    WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

    Responsibilities for this position include, and are not limited to the following:

    • Conducts culturally-relevant mental health and/or psychological assessment; this includes utilizing best practice approaches and innovation in care when conducting therapeutic evaluation(s) that center Latinx clients' needs, and as directed by supervisor and/or the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO).
    • Provides developmentally sensitive, trauma-informed individual, family and/or group psychotherapy services in both Spanish and English, and in certain cases is able to train others in these service provisions as directed by the supervisor.
    • In some cases, provides home-based, school-based, and/or collocated mental health and/or family support services which align with clinical program areas and as directed by the supervisor.
    • Maintains a client load of anywhere between 18-25 cases, or as directed by the supervisor.
    • Connects clients with resources, referrals, ancillary services, and provides case management as needed, and/or as indicated by supervisor.
    • Remains compliant with all required clinical documentation, including maintaining up-to-date case files, progress notes, treatment plans, etc., per La Cocina Clinician's Handbook, and per DORA (Department of Regulatory Agencies) statutes.
    • Supports outreach and engagement efforts in the community, which may include coordination with and outreach to community partners and stakeholders, and supports development of outreach materials, program recruitment and registration, etc.
    • Builds and maintains relationships with community organizations and/or partners to better meet the needs of clients, and as a way to promote services coordination.
    • Ensures that clients are receiving services that are culturally relevant and linguistically appropriate (both on-site and within the community). Advocates for clients to receive culturally-relevant services as needed.
    • Participates in regularly scheduled individual and group clinical supervision, including reflective supervision/consultation.
    • Provides support to La Cocina's program teams as directed by direct supervisor and/or the CCO.
    • Trains in, and learns up-to-date frameworks, theories, and treatment methods, including, but not limited to: Latinx psychology, Liberation Psychology, trauma-informed care, group psychotherapy, and relational approaches to working with families, children and youths.
    • Works collaboratively with colleagues and teams, including program teams and training staff.
    • Assists with other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

    WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO OUR ORGANIZATION

    • Must hold at least a clinical Master's degree in psychology, counseling, family therapy, clinical social work, and/or other related fields of clinical study.
    • Licensed and/or registered with DORA in the state of Colorado, including as a candidate and/or trainee seeking licensure.  Proof of up-to-date licensure and/or DORA candidacy registration required.
    • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required.
    • Demonstrated clinical skill in assessment/evaluation, treatment and crisis intervention while working from a Latinx social justice perspective.
    • Strong organizational, self-management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to support multiple cases as part of a standard clinical load.
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent communications skills, including written and verbal communications.
    • Proven ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to advance La Cocina's mission, vision and values.
    • Proficiency and sensitivity working with Latinx social justice movements, and with matters pertaining to oppression, discrimination, racism and white fragility, with a demonstrated record of balancing a strong social justice stance with best clinical practice standards.
    • Must sign La Cocina Clinician's Handbook, agreeing to maintaining full clinical compliance.
    • Must be willing to undergo a series of full background checks, including fingerprinting.

    WHAT OUR ORGANIZATION IS PROVIDING

    • Expected annual salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 based on experience
