An established and growing home care agency is seeking a knowledgeable and reliable HR Associate to support day-to-day human resources functions. The ideal candidate must have prior HR experience within the home care industry, with a strong understanding of regulatory and staffing requirements in this space.
Key Responsibilities
Support full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and credentialing of home health aides and administrative staff
Maintain up-to-date employee records in compliance with DOH requirements
Monitor expiring documents, training deadlines, and compliance reports
Assist with employee relations, conflict resolution, and policy enforcement
Coordinate orientation sessions and ongoing in-service trainings
Track attendance, leaves, and related HR metrics
Provide day-to-day support to the HR Director and collaborate with the scheduling and nursing teams
Required Qualifications
Previous HR experience in a licensed home care agency (LHCSA) is required
Strong understanding of HR compliance in the home care sector
Proficient with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Bilingual ( Yiddish) is a plus, but not required
