Jay Homes Family Services is a licensed Adult Residential Care Facility that provides direct care services to high risk developmentally disabled adults. Our ownership team is currently looking for an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Business Partner to help support and guide our continued growth. Under direct supervision of, and in collaboration with the ownership team, the HR Business Partner will be responsible for guiding and managing the overall provision of human resource services, policies, programs, and procedures for the company as well as fostering change to turn strategic organizational goals into measurable results.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure that human resources policies, procedures, and practices are in compliance with applicable California employment laws and regulations, including those specific to the industry.
- Lead risk management process for the Human Resources department, including setting agenda, facilitating meetings, and guiding work related to initiatives, decisions, and work plans to mitigate departmental risks across the organization.
- Develop and maintain policies for regulatory compliance and risk reduction, including the employee handbook/policies and departmental procedures.
- Oversee implementation of legally required compliance training programs for all employees.
- Provide training to employees and managers on conflict resolution, communication, performance management, healthy team functioning, and risk management.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts including all core operational processes and standard operations procedures as well as implementation of strategic organizational goals.
- Oversee annual performance appraisals best practices, process, and documentation, including assisting supervising managers with implementation.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or another closely related field.
- PHR, PHR-CA, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR Leadership. (Preferably in a closely related industry)
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize time sensitive projects and maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software systems. (ADP experience desired)
- A valid CA driver’s license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance.
- Ability to successfully pass a live scan and fingerprint background including TB and work physical.
Position offers a competitive annual salary between $80,000 - $90,000 with a generous benefits package for full time employees including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Sick Time, and 401(k) with Company match.
