Position Summary
The HR Business Partner is responsible for delivering customized service solutions that positively impact the client's business, resulting in client retention and growth. This role completes client relations functions, proactively consults, and regularly follows up with clients to develop, implement, and monitor HR-related deliverables. Duties include identifying legal requirements affecting HR functions and ensuring client policies, procedures, and actions are compliant.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with targeted HR-centric clients delivering defined HR services (per GSM).
- Interact with clients to understand their business model, HR practices, goals, and objectives.
- Provide customized solutions (handbooks, job descriptions, performance systems, compensation plans, onboarding processes).
- Identify compliance concerns and partner with clients on coaching, counseling, reductions in force, off-boarding, and communication.
- Recommend training through Mineral.
- Document all client interactions in HRIS.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations investigations.
- Provide investigation results to HR Manager and Regional AVP.
- Submit subpoenas/claims within deadlines.
- Act as liaison between client and internal operations.
- Run client retention processes to retain at-risk relationships.
- Work with internal teams, clients, and agents to achieve high retention.
- Set up and train users on payroll and reporting software.
- Maintain open communication with internal teams.
- Track and complete team projects and initiatives.
- Review weekly and monthly reports to support retention and analyze trends.
- Track repricing requests and ensure timely responses.
- Analyze data and review policies to answer client questions.
- File and maintain client records.
- Coordinate resolution of client issues.
- Oversee operational structural needs to ensure data integrity.
- Nurture relationships with business owners, client contacts, agents, and internal staff.
- Escalate and resolve client concerns.
- Monitor performance against service level agreements.
- Assist with execution of service plans and evaluate progress.
- Collaborate with internal departments for seamless service delivery.
- Gather and distribute client feedback.
- Build cross-functional partnerships to address issues and manage escalations.
- Manage client expectations in a fast-paced environment.
- Introduce and drive adoption of new products/services.
- Communicate compliance changes to clients.
- Contribute to process improvements.
- Perform annual client reviews.
- Prepare memos, correspondence, and documents.
- Schedule and maintain calendars.
- Attend trainings to stay current on laws and best practices.
- Travel may be required (local/long distance) to meet clients face-to-face or virtually.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–4 years HR experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Experience with HRIS and payroll platforms preferred.
- PRISM and PEO experience preferred.
Required Licenses and/or Certifications
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
