    Our client  is seeking a Human Resource Benefits Admin. to join their human resources team. This is an onsite role located in Ionia County.

    As a Benefits Admin, you would be responsible for leading the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the benefit programs under the direction of the Vice President of Human Resources. The manager will ensure legal compliance and cost-effectiveness of administered benefit and compensation programs. He/she collaborates with the other members of the human resources team to provide support and ensure continuity of workflow between payroll, benefits, compensation, and other areas of human resources. He/she will design, manage, and assess competitive benefits, compensation, and rewards programs that strengthen  the company's ability to attract and retain employees and deliver desired results to the organization.

    Key Deliverables:

    •  Coordinates and completes activities involving Benefits and 401k Administration point of contact with benefit issues, annual reporting completed (ACA, 5500), audits etc.
    • Updating the HRIS annually and as needed with benefits elections and work events
    • Recommends personnel policies and procedures; assists in the preparation of and maintains handbook on policies and procedures
    • Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations 
    • Reviews, approves, and files all pertinent and required payroll and benefit data per federal and state requirements
    • Assists as needed with Employee Relations: investigations, performance, discipline, and terminations
    • Evaluates reports, decisions, and results of department initiatives in relation to established goals. recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and service performed 
    • Provides general human resources support in all areas as needed
    • Other duties as assigned by management

    Qualifications:

    • Proficient in HR systems: Experience with ADP Workforce Now and Employee Navigator a plus 
    • Must possess broad knowledge of compensation and benefits packages, policies, and legislations 
    • Experience with benefit administration and advanced knowledge in applicable regulatory, legal requirements and reporting, including ACA, COBRA, EEO, ERISA, HIPAA, FLSA, FMLA and GINA 
    • Experienced in MS Office Suite
