CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Kent County is the only local volunteer organization that empowers everyday citizens to become appointed members of the Kent County court system to act on behalf of abused or neglected children as they pass through the family court system. We do this by training our volunteers to investigate, facilitate, advocate, and monitor services for children who are wards of the court due to abuse and neglect. Our volunteers work to present first-hand information and observations to help judges make the very best decision about children’s futures. Our impact studies show that CASA involvement has led to reduced time in foster care and lowers the chances of reentry into the child welfare system.
We currently have openings for two new Advocate Supervisors who will play a vital role in providing professional support and supervision to community member volunteers advocating for abused and neglected children living in foster or residential care. As an Advocate Supervisor, you will work to ensure that children assigned to CASA volunteers receive sound advocacy and early permanency planning. Reporting to the Program Manager, you will collaborate closely with internal and external members to establish strong relationships and ensure established protocols are being followed.
